Solid is a state of matter which has definite shape and definite volume.

Solid particle are closer and more intact compared to liquid and gas. Most solids have a greater density compared to liquids and gases because of its particles which are so intact. Solid can become liquid when melts and becomes gas in a process known as sublimation.
