Yes, I believe that there is a certain risk in any invasive procedure. The ovarian stimulation that occurs may cause nausea, pain in the abdomen, fatigue, headaches, breast pain, the patient may also become irritable. This condition is called Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome. The worst cases may require the patient to visit and possibly be admitted to the hospital due to breathing problems, blood clots, dehydration, vomiting, and severe abdominal pain. Deaths have also happened in the rarest of cases.
